● The brief

Strengthen STARTRADER’s brand through its sports partnerships

STARTRADER is a global online broker and a partner of the NBA and Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East. The company asked us to create an AI-generated brand film that would tie its sports partnerships into a clear story about STARTRADER and reinforce its premium positioning.
STARTRADER needed to remain the focus. The basketball and racing settings would highlight qualities that matter in trading, too:

STARTRADER is the main character

We created a film that interweaves the stories of three traders: one at an NBA game, one at a Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East race, and one working in an office. All three use STARTRADER.
By following individual traders, the film shows how STARTRADER fits into the lives of ambitious, performance-driven people. Viewers see the platform in the context of their work and personal interests.

Script

We built the script around three STARTRADER clients

One is watching a basketball game, another is following a race, and a third is working in an office.
At the sporting events, the characters are spectators. They follow the action while keeping an eye on the markets through the app: checking updates, reviewing charts, and making decisions. STARTRADER becomes a natural part of their day.
Each storyline has a distinct feel. The basketball scenes capture the pace of the game and the tension before a decisive moment. The racing sequence emphasizes precision and control. The office story brings the focus directly to trading, connecting the sports settings back to the brand.

Visual direction and storyboarding

Three settings, one film

We gathered visual references and built a moodboard in Miro and Figma for the basketball arena, racetrack, and trader’s office. Each setting needed its own character while still feeling like part of the same film.
We then broke the script into individual shots, specifying the action, framing, camera movement, and duration of each one. We planned how to alternate wide shots with close-ups of the characters' eyes, hands, and trading screens, and worked out the transitions between storylines.

Still frames

The entire film as stills, before any motion

We generated the images with ChatGPT and Nano Banana, then refined them in Photoshop. We reviewed the characters, locations, and details with the client so they could see what the film would look like before we added motion.

We refined the details by hand

The visuals had to follow the brand guidelines of STARTRADER, the NBA, and Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East. We tested different basketball uniforms, refined the emblems on the race car’s wheels, and adjusted the charts on the traders' screens.
We also worked on textures, right down to the dirt on the basketball, to make the images feel more believable.

Animation
4–6
seconds
length of each generated clip
We animated the approved frames in Seedance and Kling, generating clips of four to six seconds. Shorter clips gave us more control over movement and helped preserve the details in each image.

The biggest challenge: getting the branding right

Logos were especially challenging in fast-moving scenes. They became distorted and unreadable during generation, so we added them manually in postproduction.

Editing and sound

One main film and three standalone videos

We edited the animated clips into one main film and three standalone videos, using DaVinci Resolve and ElevenLabs for editing and audio. Each video has its own end card so it can run independently.
